Teacher-Scholar Forum Resources

Description:
On April 29th & 30th, 2025 the CAT brought author James Lang to campus for the inaugural Teacher-Scholar Forum, made possible through a partnership with the Office of the Provost and the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs. This annual event was created with the goal of bringing together faculty from across our schools to learn together and celebrate the teacher-scholar ideal.
The event included a full day of sessions that kicked off with opening remarks from Provost Gillespie (4/29) and a half day writing workshop (4/30) centered on content from Lang’s book Write Like You Teach. In addition to the main events on Tuesday and Wednesday, Jim held a pre-conference workshop for a limited number of participants on Monday afternoon (4/28).
