Grants
The CAT is pleased to provide grant support for the costs associated with projects that directly enhance faculty teaching skills and knowledge.
Activities Funded
Grant funding will be focused on the following teaching development activities:
- Participation in teaching improvement workshops or conferences
- Research on student learning to inform teaching practices
- Development of new teaching methods and strategies
- Projects related to increasing course accessibility and inclusive teaching
Covered expenses could include travel to a teaching conference; expenses associated with student learning research including data collection or a research assistant; and books, food or speaker fees for teaching developmental programs. Since CAT grant funding is focused on teaching development, grant funds do not cover direct student resources (e.g., textbooks, course materials), guest speakers for classes, or equipment or software for student use.
