This seminar invites faculty across disciplines—from the humanities to the sciences—to explore the intersections of artificial intelligence, creative thinking, and pedagogy. Working with K Allado-McDowell’s Pharmako-AI and my forthcoming publication Fabulation Prompts, participants will explore innovative techniques for successful prompt design and engage in dynamic, peer-to-peer learning. Through two in-person meetings, we will collaboratively design imaginative new assignments for courses we plan to teach in the year ahead, thus demonstrating ways of integrating AI fabulation techniques into diverse curricula, while equipping educators with tools to inspire creativity and critical thinking. Ideal for faculty seeking to enrich their courses with interdisciplinary AI-based approaches, this seminar promises to open new pedagogical pathways and foster innovative teaching strategies that resonate with students.

Goals:

  • To foster interdisciplinary dialogue on AI’s impact and potential.
  • To develop creative assignments that can be integrated into various courses.
  • To enhance pedagogical strategies involving AI and creative thinking.
